Population
A
group of animals with unknown parents in genetic evaluations, whose EBV’s are
set to zero.
Beef
recording scheme
A
system of recording data within a beef cattle population with regard to beef
traits.
Behavioral
trait
Traits
such as docility, which describe the way in which an animal behaves, with regard
to humans, other animals and during specific activities such as calving or
feeding.
Beta-agonist
A
bronchodilator medicine that opens the airways by relaxing the muscles around
the airways.
Birth
weight
The
weight of an animal taken within 24 hours after birth.

A
visual scoring procedure which describes the state of body reserves of the
animal.
